April and May are hot months in the bridal fashion scene as new and painstakingly thought through designs are brought to light and the public attention by some of the world’s leading designers in bridal fashion, in fashion shows around the globe, that has every blog, tongue and bride to be , ‘uhming’, ‘aahing’ and singing their praises.
It is the moment fashionistas wait for, to see the best runway designs that will set the trend for the wedding season and beyond. From London, to Barcelona to New York (all bridal fashion centres of the world), the inspirations are endless. Showcasing collections for every shape, size and style and dazzling the senses with the luscious showcase of these sumptuous designs.
Brides to be looking for inspiration, look no further as I have rounded off some of my best picks from the top 3 bridal shows that took place recently and present them to you. The designs are all aimed at the elegant bride, from the elegant and sophisticated to the vintage and unusual, I have got you covered.
These collections that I have hand picked for the elegant bride, comprises mainly of full skirts, ruffles, 3 quarter sleeves, straight cut, and sleeveless gowns. With gorgeous detailing and boned bodices, they do not give much away and are for brides to be who want to showcase elegance and style on her big day.
White Gallery, London
Heralded as the New York bridal fashion week equivalent for London, this show saw exhibitions from some of England’s best bridal gown designers. From gorgeous full skirt designs from Sassi Halford to Ruth Milliam’s unique designs to Eliza Jane Howell vintage glam, these three designers showcased some stunning designs at the just concluded White Gallery bridal fashion show, for the bride to be looking for something different.
Pronovias, the name synonymous with Barcelona (in the bridal world), showcased their 2017 bridal collection this May at the Barcelona Bridal Week which certainly did not disappoint. From full skirt cinderella gowns with sweetheart necklines to the latest trend in capes, the collection has a lot to say for itself.
I’m sure there were lots of favourites for all who saw the show however, my personal favourite has to be the Monica Lhuiller 2017 collection. It comprised of gorgeous gowns with boned bodices and full skirts with asymmetrical cuts made from the finest silk material. I love the layered and sometimes ruffled effects of the designs and have picked out some of my top favourites here.
Ralph and Russo dazzled in this gorgeous creation that had heads turning for all the right reasons, no doubt.
